Carole and Josephine both live in Kalamunda which is near Perth. They are the daughters of Bill (William) Dodds, and lived in Salisbury, Wiltshire until Bill died in ?? then Kathleen, Carole & Len Morley, her husband, plus Josephine, moved to Australia back in the 1970's.

Harry my father joined the airforce while he was living in Blaydon and he followed on by working for the MOD as an aircraft inspector. During the war he was in the Home Guard, and as he was in an essential profession wasn't called to fight. He died in 1982 aged 77 from an acute embolism when he was driving the car with my mother beside him. She wasn't hurt luckily and lived to the grand age of 89 in Dec. 1997. Auntie Lena did come to stay here in Weston with me and Mum a couple of times latterly. I was one of a family of seven, Monty was the eldest then Philip, then me Anne Colin Bernard and lastly but not least Mary! Unfortunately only myself Colin and Mary are surviving. We had 3 suicides sadly. Anne took her life back in 1980 and her husband Arthur has since remarried. Bernard hanged himself in 1984 in his flat and Monty jumped from a bridge and fell to his death, they all suffered from various sorts of depression previous to their deaths. Monty did marry but had no family. His wife died of a hole in the heart not long after they were married. Bernard never got married either, and Mum doted on him so it was an even worse blow for her.
